Hks Ssqv

Sorry to ask about more bov's but... (97 eclipse gs-t) If i have a stock IC pipe, what additional parts do i need for the HKS SSQV bov? And also, doesnt it make the whistle sound? Should i get the HKS SSQV or the Turbo XS RFL?

the greddy gt bov is also good, i htink the ssqv leaks after hi boost.. im not sure tho

All BOV's make a BOV sound when they vent. I'm not sure but I think you need an intake pipe with a SSQV flange on it. You don't need a RFL to be heard. RFL is a piece. It's the ricer of BOV's, which is what they wanted. It is the loudest one, and will not recirculate so i'm going out on a limb here, but you probably won't want that.

Is that all you want is sound? Why dont you save some money and get a 1g BOV and buy a upper IC pipe (with a 1g flange) Road race sells one for $95 The upper IC pipe will also improve performance.

I have a HKS SSQV on my car and it is really loud. The kit comes with everything you need to mount to the stock IC pipe. If you want to go the 1g route I have the bov and pipe that I will sell. It is almost brand new.

i got a type-s and it whistles if it is adjusted right. it's like "puh-sshhiiiiiieeew" and it's loud enough to turn heads and it's recirculated.
