Whoa just got back from seeing it and easily the best movie I've seen in a long long time I think Ashton Kutcher completely redeems himself for whatever dumb shit he has ever had to do in the past, and goes to show he can actually act when he wants to. So yeah this gets :thumbsup: from me and strongly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I heard the ending sucked?

Ending did what it was supposed to do unlike most movies it actually had closure and left out all possibilties for a sequel. Which is really good b/c lately I'm tired of all the crap sequels that are released after a really good original.

Don't knock it til you see it, Dude Where's My Car was a good stoner movie other than that it sucked, Just Married sucked too but if you go see this with an open mind I bet just about anyone could like this movie. Another thing he succeeded in something Jim Carey couldn't do which is making a serious movie and it actually being good.

The it was a lot better than I expected after reading the reviews. I think the critics didn't get the humor.

hey Jim Carrey didn't do that bad in "The Majestic" where he had to play a serious part. Though he's so programmed to be goofy and funny that I kept expecting him to do something really goofy, therefore his image made him look goofy to me. Though he did do a good job of acting serious, I think his other movies made him seem too much of a goofball

besides sounding like my dad with throwing in those "goofy" and "goofball" words you do have a point

Actually, his first serious job was in The Truman Show, which was very well done.

I wouldn't exactly call this Kutcher's The Truman Show or Punch Drunk Love, he played a serious part but it still wasn't that great. TBE was alright, maybe if they had better kid actors than the sorry excuses they used in this movie, it would be an above average film.

I give it a B, solid effort, but lacking in many areas that result in a mediocre film.

Also, if this is the best movie you've seen in a while, you obviously haven't seen Kill Bill, In America, or Lost in Translation :p

Seen Kill Bill, I mean in the last while I see a lot of movies most of them turn out to be crap this one was worthy of a thread here. :)

I agree with it being one of the best movies i've seen in a long time, other than Lord of The Rings. Going into i thought it was just gonna be a creep you out movie, but it was actually really good.

And dont forget Jim Carey's part in the movie Man On The Moon. He played an unserious character in Andy Kaufman, but it was still supposed to be fairly serious, and it was a damn good movie.
