Possible bad fuel pump

I have a 98 taurus se and the car every once and a while will not start. The relay in the power distribution box is good and the fuel shutoff is working. The fuel pump every once in a while will not start up and the car wont start. I have good spark. The power is going to the saftey fuel shut off and when the key is turned power goes through it. Is there another relay or something between the fuel shut off and the fuel pump? If I wait 30 minutes the car will start right up. Very confusing and annoying. yes iam the one with the heater sensor malfunction too. I am going nuts over here.

had the same thing happen with my 98 SE.checked fuel pump but its good.also only does it when its hot out.any suggestions?

Have you changed your fuel pump? Or anything?
