bad fuel pump

any one know the step by step on how to change a fuel pump on a 2000 pontiac grand am se,my fuel pump went bad i'm getting a new one to replace it,thanks!!

Did you cheak to see if you are getting gas to the engine before you change it. you shoud check that first turn your key but not all the way you should here a sound from you front of your engine if you do then you know your fuel pump is working now you must check to see if gas is getting to the engine to do so loosen the fuel injector intake line and have someone turn key (not start) if gas comes out your pump is fine.

i took it to the shop and had it check,its the fuel pump,
