from what i hear about valuesoft they have a pretty crappy rep in the gaming biz so don't hold your breath hoping it will be very good...but then again i could be wrong...man tokyo pop is milking initial d for everything it's worth

Oh fuck no...
I gotta agree with kansei there, they just fudge everything up while trying to get their money's worth too, GReddy stickers on a JDM RX7 (the ZipZaps) isnt exactly what you'd expect...
This game is probably going to suck ass, with shitty music and its "special effects"
I think I'll go back to playing Kaido Battle (Kaido Battle 2 coming :D) and Initial D: Special Stage.

this is what I post to them :

Initial D Racing Game.............
Problem Description: Hear from the media , that yours compeny gonna make a japanese title Automotive racing game (about drifting & time attack etc) I hope you the person who read this message take it seriously , since i can't find any comment mail box . so i like to post this little note here . I am a Car Racing gamer mania (about driving simulator like sony Gran Tourismo & EA Need for speed or Sega GT/initail D arcade stage) I play it all . If yours buddy gonna develop this Jap fever drifting things , you better make sure: 1.Have the ablebility of setting the car Like Gran turismo . 2.have the feeling like driving a race car & feels the speed when playing it ,example Like Need for speed. (I like play in full screen) 3.have the handling and predection of the car movement (example RX-7 & AE86 have the same movement ablebility but only diffrent power & speed) 4.hope there are more research on diffrent car and diffrent way of the car enter the conner. 5.drift looks like Need for speed underground ! SEGA Initail D arcade stage suck ! they fuck up the whole thing. (compare to gran tourismo 1/2/3) EA NFS U gets the feeling of making a street racing game. but the tracks are too boaring .(we don't need flying & jumping in a fun techniq racing game & hope the tracks are more reasonable & fun to drive) SONY GT have superb driving "FUN " but less visual change when upgrade the player car . Hope yours compeny can beat all the Fact ! don't waste yours $ and develop a shitty game & I really mean it . (Thinking positively) Thank you & sorry for my english . :) show us what you got . PLease .....

Do you guys think that they are going to do a Special Stage americain version?
It would be great. You need a modchip to play it in america.

peter i, until you make a paragraph, my eyes cant read that. Kaido Battle 2 out in March, and if the American (douchebaggish/Tokyopopper) fanbase grows large enough, they might even create their own fucked up version of Special Stage, but they have no reason to, because their translations are far from the end of the manga...
Only around 15 more volumes to go?
I hate Tokyopop.

Peter, please use grammer and punctuation correctly. I dought that anybody from the head of the company would want to read something like that unless you make it readable.

I loved the Initial D: Arcade Stage game, it was unrealistic, but for some people it's very hard to try to make a good drift especially in a video game.

I've played NFS:U and Daytona USA and I have to say that the physics engine of there are more realistic than Initial D, but it's alot easier to play (drifting is easier and cars are VERY responsive) and doesn't hurt the eyes like those 2 games did. (Daytona reminds me of playing on a PS1 and I always crashed on NFS:U because I couldn't tell between the road or background.)

Just one question though, why would Tokyopop go to this little known company and not Sega, who made all 3 versions of Arcade Stage?

Personal note: I hate the Tokyopop translations as well, especially the "nicknames", the music was the part that turned me off the most and I hope they burn the american soundtrack in hell.

edit button jeff hehe j/k... kaido battle..its a pretty good game, from what i've heard about kaido battle they won't be bringing it to america because txr is taking its place. as for idss i hope they never make a american version they'll "f" it up so bad just like everything else initial d in the US.

on a side note i have GT4 prologue and that game is by far the BEST racing/simulation game hands down, it puts every other racing game to shame

Holy shit, I double posted. I'm usually a nazi about that crap (I dont care if you flame me for that, I would if someone double posted..oh wait, i already did, and almost got banned ;))Nah, Kaido Battle is damn kickass, and they removed all the shitty music. But the engines are still synthesized (:( why does my rotary sound like a 180sx?). Sammy got a bit freaked when Crave released TXR3 for 20 bucks, and they got all pissy and decided that since no one is into drifting (my ass, D1 has brought more ricers into the drifting scene then anything...) they didnt think it would sell for 50 bucks...(bad decision)

:2cents: ok Peter I, there were so many spelling and grammer mistakes, I thought I would help by tweaking the message you might be planning to send. :2cents:

I would like to post this little note here. I am a Car Racing gamer maniac (about driving simulator like Sony Gran Tourismo, EA Need for Speed and Sega GT/Initial D Arcade Stage) I've played them all . If you are going to develop this Japanese fever drifting game, there are some things that you better make sure this game should include.

One: Have the ability of setting the car like Gran Turismo.

Two: Have realistic gameplay for the cars and good perception of speed. For example, as in Need for speed, the cars have fair handling and as the cars accelerate the hazards appear faster and it becomes more difficult to manuaver, like in a real car.

Three: More realistic drift control. A fair example of this are the drift stages in Need for Speed Underground.

Four: Each car would each have thier own handling characteristics during play. What would be the point in unlocking cars if every car handled the same?

Five: More technical tracks. For example, Need for Speed Underground has some interesting tracks to start but as the game goes on, the tracks become more predictable

:2cents: I think you could really stop here because just saying how games suck doesn't really help lol. Hope that helps. -ColeIketani :2cents:
