What goes into changing the supercharger pulley on my car? Has anyone done this on an 04 model yet? Should it be the same as 97-03 models? I run 91-93 octane, is 3.4 the lowest i can go? And when and if they make an intercooler for my car can i go lower? Also is a 160 stat gonna do anything for me even if i dont reprogram the computer?

All you need is the proper puller.
Been done on many 04's
3.4 is the lowest until further mods ie exhuast/intake/cam/rockers/intercooler and on and on
W/ intercooler and the right tunning sub 3" pullies are norm
W/ a 160 you should still see lower temps, dont know if that low of a tstat will throw codes like it does on some of the other GP's

What he said...
If you go with the 3.4 try to keep 93 octane in the tank. Remove the u-bend in your exhaust if the 04 cars have them. (restriction right after the cat). The 160 will compliment the 3.4 nicely. So will a 180. I have not heard of 04 guys having problems with a 160 as far as throwing ses codes but it is possible. You should have no problems with a 180 thermo...

fyi....if you get dhp reprogramming you can ask them to edit out the code that those thermostats throw. Thermostats are a good idea once you up the boost. Have to keep everything nice and cool...like Samuel Jackson. :smokin:

Well I have a DHP V1.0 and 180 degf tstat works without problems. I think they used 180 tstat when redoing the PCM programming. The smaller the pulley the cooler the engine intake system must be to prevent kr as much as possible. So before trying smaller pulleys make sure the car runs cooler and no SES is coming on. Keep in mind that a too cold engine would deteriorate faster so you have to strike a balance between the kr you getting the added PSI's you are pumping before running an engine that is too cool and not getting the performance gain you want. I have the OEM 3.8", installed a thrasher 3.4" and still have a 2.8" that I have not tested with the mods that I have so far until I get the SLP headers.

Ya, plus you'll only need the pulley tool once.
I started w/ a 3.4.
Then went to a DUB w/ 3.4 adn 3.25 pullies
Then I had to get the GEN 2 DUB so I could run the 2.9 pulley
With the DUB I only have to remove 4 allen bolts to swap pullies. Take me bout 5 minutes
