I just wanted to let whoever reads this know that my boyfriend of a year and a half broke up with me last week and I'm pissed about it.

Actually, I'm sad, too, but mostly pissed at WASTING OVER A YEAR of my life to someone who could give a crap less about me!!!!

Don't you hate how the stupidest things remind you so much of someone? That aggrevates me! It's bad enough that you have to deal with memories on your own, but then a certain song or smell or place or whatever it is, has to come and remind you of that person all over again.

I hate guys!! :disappoin

I'm sorry to hear about that. But at least you had somebody. At least you had a feeling of warmth that comes with knowing that you have someone that cared about you. At least you had someone to care for. I honestly don't know why people complain about how their relationship didn't work out. There are some people out there that haven't had a relationship in a long time *cough*me*cough* and for them to always hear people complaining about their relationships, it sucks. All of my friends always talk to me about their girlfriends or their boyfriends. They talk about how happy they are, or the little problems they are facing. When I sit with my friends at lunch I'm left out of the conversations that are going on around me, simply because I can't relate to them. For the past year and a half no girl has shown any interest in me. It's really starting to get to me now. So instead of being upset about your relationship of a year and a half, put yourself in my shoes. Try being single for a year and a half and going through the same thing I am still going through. Then you should realize that you don't have it bad at all.

.....Sorry about that. I just needed to get that off my chest. I truly am sorry about your relationship. I hope you feel better

well i know what you mean about wasting your time with someone, i've had problems like that in the past where you just say, "what was i thinking, i can think of a million things i could have done that would have been more meaningful than what i did with her." But at the time you didn't know any better. Dont hate guys, there's one out there for you i'm sure. Hey you from Illinois? J_Swigz is in the market.
Right now i'm in a good long relationship, there's always a bounce back person.

And Chicago guy, maybe you should go out and look for women instead of waiting for them to show interest in you. :2cents:

Really? No kidding, thanks. When I say that not one girl has shown any interest in me, that means that when I go out someplace and start flirting with a girl, no interest is shown towards me. I have never waited for a girl to show interest in me, and then go for her. I have always gone for a girl right off the bat. I find the girls, but the girls don't find me back. You know what I'm saying?

And Toksin.....that's very good to know...lol.

Yes, I am in the market...thanks Josh, Im glad I have a cousin like you to help me with my love life:uhoh:

Kate(Im assuming this is your name due to your username) As much as it hurts, and as bad as he made you feel, you're going to have to come to grips with it and move on. Whenever something like this happens, I think of it as, it wasn't meant to be. When the time comes for you to be with that one special person, you'll know. Dont sweat it, you'll be fine with time.

I have to agree. I'm pretty much in the same boat as Chicago Guy. Try having your roomate leave all the time and show affection to his gf in front of you day in and day out. It really gets the emotions all outta wack. Don't think of the last year as a waste of time, but as a growing experience. If you were happy most of the time, then it wasn't a waste of time. And yea some guys are assholes, but there are some of us who aren't. We just get looked over b/c we're the 'nice guys'. Being a 'nice guy' sucks. :banghead:

I was with someone for 13 months, then she pretty much threw it back in my face. Well, fuck it. Don't regret the time you spent together. Never regret anything. Regret is the little voice that chews away inside you eating away at your happiness piece by piece until that is all you focus on and you can no longer be happy.

Even though you can't stand him now, just remember that you had good times together. It's worse if you think that all that time is wasted, it makes you feel guilty and feel worse because you make yourself out to feel stupid.

It's in the past. It'll hurt now, but you'll move on to better and brighter things. You'll meet someone new soon, maybe you won't. It will happen. Enjoy the single life. Spoil yourself. Do everything you want to do - you have no more obligations and nothing that ties you don't. Go out with the girls. Have fun. Have a fling. Get a friend with benefits. Enjoy yourself - you don't need that dickhead anyway.

Feel free to PM me or contact me on AIM if you want to share your thoughts. I'm pretty good to talk to, and I can give a point of view from the other side of the fence :)

Awww, Thanks everybody for your opinions!

And I don't know why girls always go for the assholes, but it's true that they do.... One of my friends has this guy totally wrapped around her finger in love with her and she could care less about him when her ex-boyfriend calls her (and he's a huge asshole). I don't know if it's like, the whole challenge thing, or the idea of someone changing their ways from mean to nice just for you, but girls (in my opinion) seem to always go for the mean guys. I don't know why....

Ive been told they go for the mean guys, because the mean guys always seem to have a lot of confidence. Personally I call BS because I have plenty of confidence and Im lonely as all hell because Im single.

I, too, have lots of confidence.

It's funny. At school, I could rally enough students to possibly cause an uprising (and I did rally them- Dave can confirm), but no girls. Mind you I was a bit of a prat at times too.

Mind you, High School girls are just shallow and self centered.

Hang on! They still are!

I wouldn't consider it a waste of time if you were enjoying yourself in the relationship. In the mean time just enjoy yourself, there are a bunch of other more deserving guys out there.
