GT-R (R34) Xanavi 2002 Early.
Body is from Loctite R34 to convert into 2002 version. Tamiya Pla-plate and Tamiya Epoxy Putty (Quick type) were used to make the body kits and lots of reference materials... but still lack of some, so these 2 are still not perfect to me... Decals are both from ST27 :p enjoy...

interior for Xanavi and Pitwork:
BBR Carbon Fiber had been used in these interior...but my skill still not good enough  will try some later on the 2003 Xanavi.

ST27 decal had been layed on the body...these decal actually is mainly for stock Loctite body, but mine had been modify, so some of the decals need to touch up with after market decals too.

Can you post some rear shot of the early V6(Xanavi 2002)? How did you make the rear?? I want to know b/c I want to make that early version V6 too.

Cut the road version of R34 rear (including the brake light holes) to replace Loctite R34, and you are done. One more tips: 2002 R34 wheels are 5 spoke (Tamiya Xanavi R34) not 6 spoke. I built it very long ago, so no idea how to do 5 spoke. Now you can do a more accuate version than me. Hope to see yours V6 soon...

2002 R34...Pitwork also run the older car than Xanavi. 2002 early version, all R34 will have 2 small horn on both side of the front fenders, as for late version, it's a right angle bend on both front fenders. Tamiya R34 Xanavi is a early 2003 version, and same thing, front fenders are different in 2003 late. Heard that R34 will be retired soon in JGTC and will be replace by Z33 (350Z). The bodykit is very aggressive too. Hope Tamiya will do something about it soon.

The pict that you have is not early 2002 version. Is Mid 2002 version... from the pict, we can see the air vent at the rear window is much upper than the early 2002 version, and the body is alot more lower with high down force GT wing, there also a front carand in front of the front diffuser... this carand only used in late 2002 to 2003. Rear bumper usually are half the size of original size or I called it half rear bumper.

Here are some reference for you...or those who like to build one himself/herself.

Mine build is a full bumper rather than half bumper because of lack of experience when I started on these 2 project (it's 1 year old project)
Now I have the experience, and I believe I could do better on the Calsonic 2002 early version soon...
Please let me know how to build a VQ30 engine... I really like all your engines in your GT-R... Could you tell me what materials needed to start to build a GT-R engine (RB26DETT or VQ30).

thanks,

Ok, because I'm having problem while I was planning on this project. I'm trying to think of an easy way of dropping the height (marked in the pic) to match the height of the whole rear. It's much lower and more "flat" than the tamiya kit. If you are working on the calsonic, LMK how you do that. OK, Thanks.

thanks for pointing out the mistake... If you really want to build a replica, the whole body have to lower by 5mm including the arches into 2-3mm higher. If you got the Tamiya Xanavi R34, you may compare it with the Loctite body. You will find big difference between them..(I mean the height).

Do you have any full picts on the V6? Maybe when I start on the Pennzoil 2001 late, Zexel, Pennzoil R33 '98 and Calasonic '02 early and late, I put a progress thread and hope that both you and me (the freak of GT-R ) can share some idea.

Thanks,
Rtuned :p
