Hi guys I'm new here!

I need help! Drove into work this morning and all was ok. Go out to lunch and when I get in my truck the overhead map light and rear hatch light are staying on!

I double checked to make sure all the doors were closed, and they are still on! Even after the truck is turned off they are staying on - has this ever happened to anyone?

I am freaking out because it's cold here in NJ, and I'm afraid the car is going to be dead when I leave work today. I just got a new battery last month so that is the only thing I have going for me.

I could go out every hour and start it, but this sucks! What should I do?

Not sure if it's a fuse problem, but if it was wouldn't the lights just stay off?

HELP!!!

I had this trouble on my 1992 Cherokee Limited. For me it was the right rear door light. The battery would, in fact, go dead overnight so I got to where I was pulling the lit bulb out of the socket until I could get it serviced. I complained about the problem under warranty and Jeep worked on it 3 separate times, replacing the door switch and inspecting whatever they thought was the cause. I always got it back from service working properly, but the problem would recur in a few months and I'd pull the bulb again. In the end I gave up. It was more inconvenient to have the Jeep in the shop than to just leave the bulb out. Let us know if you find a real cause.

By the way, if you go to pull the bulb, bring a cloth with you. It is wicked hot when lit.
