Easy questions

Hi, newb here...
It seems like alot of you here really know alot so I have 2 questions. In searching nothing stands out. I have a 91 eclipse 1.8. I recently did clutch, head gasket,brakes, axles, you name it. I do not remember for sure, the water pump runs off one of the ac/alt belts, right? I know its not on the power steering belt, but I forget if it ran off the timing belt?
My second question is has anyone had the problem with the drivers side door switch not turning on and off the interior light? It controls the seatbelt fine though, which makes me think that the switch is fine. Is there another switch just for the light? The passenger side works fine (always turns it on and off). Thanks for any insight....
