Those really are bad pictures.
But you havn't seen a damaged one till you have to dig the melt drops of steel from the hole in the middle of the piston out of the thick sludge that used to be oil in the sump.

you did that with a 55 shot? What did you do drive with it on all the time. If the system is set up right it should not cause damage like that.
All n2o is, is 2 parts oxygen and one part nitrogen. Its basicly just increasing the air in the cylinder. This will cause extra pressure and heat. But it takes smoe time to do tht kind of damage to a piston. What exactly happened when this piston was ruined?

is turboing as bad as nitrous for your engine? i was under the impression i could run low boost on a stock engine (f22), but even low boost should be adding close to 40hp, is that going to be as hard on my engine as a 40hp shot of no2?

really n2o did not go that to my pistons my bolt on the end of the fogger nozzle fell down into the engine

so low boost really shouldn't affect driveability/engine life much at all right?

Don't you just wish that you had a titanium baseball bat to beat "someone's" head in everytime you see "someone" hi-jack a post??? :banghead:

woah dude chill, no need for that laungage.
so the bolt did the damage not the n20? that must of really pissed you off. I pulled the heads off my fiero after running a 8 bottles, 100 hp shot on stock v6 engine and everything looked good, very clean, compression was fine and everything (just did it to inspect, and replace the head gaskets just so i wouldnt have to worry about them) nitrous is not bad for your motor as long as it is tuned and you know how to use it.

as long as you have proper fuel management and stuff you will be all set. pretty much all stock motors will handle 6psi all day long (except for factory high compression motors, like the Type-R), find out the compression ratio of your motor and it might be good for more, hell a LS motor is good for up to 12psi, i wouldnt run that on the street but im sure it would love 8psi all day

what kind of fuel management? i was told my stock fuel system would be able to compensate for low (6) boost

Nope sorry man, the people that are telling you that are the ones that are going to tell you to get a FMU. A FMU is the sorriest way you can supply the extra fuel. You need hondata etc so that you can change the duty cycle of the fuel injectors. The FMU just bumps up the fuel pressure x amount for x amount of boost, but the stock fuel injectors are not designed to hold that high of pressure.

A FMU will work fine if you are running low boost, I am running mine at about 7 psi with a 10:1 FMU a Hondata is alot better way but also alot more expensive - if you are gonna be running that low of boost anyway I would just go with a FMU, if you plan to rebuild your motor and crank the boost up then go with a hondata but now this is hijacking the thread so if you have any more questions start your own thread
