Hey guys,
I'm working on becoming a dealer for HYTECHEXHAUST headers for B series applications. they will fit any year motor.
There are THE finest headers available, PERIOD, for Honda! The company mostly does Trans Am and other racing series header and exhaust work, and has been doing Honda for several years now.
The cost is OUTRAGEOUS!, but worth every penny. The B16 header will cost 1100.00, and the B18 header is 1300.00. They are dynoing at over 20 hp! even more depending on mods. on a stock motor, they'll add around 15hp!! They also make the header based on your application..race, street, etc...
Go to http://www.hytechexhaust.com/ and have a look see...and if anyone is seriously interested on owning something no one else has, and something that no other company can match, email me, [email protected]
thanks guys, you won't be dissapointed! :)

Lets see some dyno charts or something else to prove these claims.

http://www.hytechexhaust.com/honda/content_typer.htm go here...they have Stock and mod charts.
just call the guy and talk to him. This guy used to work for Keith Black, and now does 75% Trans Am and open wheel race motors....he's small, expensive and loves his work...3 combinations that I look for in performance parts.

i've seen dyno's with this header and it does make 5-10 whp over what you would get from other aftermarket headers. honestly though, for 1300 i could be building my motor and get a 280 dollar header and be making serious hp.

Come on guys...it's like anything! WHY spend 450.00 on a set of headers that produce 5 hp, when you can spend 2000.00 on a turbo....why put 200.00 into an intake that makes a few HP when.....see where I'm going here?? :)
why spend money on ANY mod when all you need to do it TURBO!!!!!! (me being sarcastic)

i'll take care of this one. for Integra LS B18B1
$1300 to start
$280 DC Sports 4-2-1
$180 AEM CAI
$600 JE Pistons 10.5:1 compression
$125 AEM pulleys
$125 AEM hiflow fuel rail
thats $1310 total.. and we've gained about.. oh.. 32 flywheel horses, or about 25 dyno'd. Not to mention we are much much much more set-up for mods like cams, exhaust, and throttle body.
call me cheap, but I'd rather do all that than buy one header.

you forgot labor costs... any untrained monkey can swap a header... not many can rebuild a bottom end or have the tools and facilities to do so. so factor in another $600 for the rebuild.
also, the header will just add more power to what you've got... no matter what your state of tune is, since it prevents reversion and increases exhaust velocity for more efficiency. it'll improve the performance to higher levels as you steadily improve intake air performance... a poorly designed exhaust system will prevent you from seeing true benefits from intake mods as the air cannot efficiently escape the motor after combustion.
if you're serious about making more power, you'd be interested in this header... if you're not, then you'll pass on it.

but to be completely upfront, Hedman Hedders introduced their chikara lineup last year...
the Chikara Torqstep header features a 4-2-1 design for Civics and Integras, with a Torqstep anti-reversion chamber in the primaries, much like the ITR street header from Hytech.
i have yet to see independant tests on it tho, and am curious to see how effective the Torqstep header does in the real world, altho i dont know if it will be as effective as the Hytech system since the Chikara primaries are much smaller and may impede flow, thus negating the antireversion chambers' benefits.

i dunno, its my opinion, but if you're serious about making power you wouldn't be pissing with hondas
but when it comes to a honda header, yeah that's big gains, but i'm having a hell of a time justifying it unless you are bracket racing for cash.

my uncle and I build rods semi-regularly, so i've got the goods and tools

LOL! that's funny. When you make a Honda produce over 330 hp per liter...THAT's POWER! try squeezing that hp per liter out of a stock block V8 and.........BOOM!!

LOL that's funny, cuz the most my B16 will crank within reason is 450hp w/ tons of boost. (22+ psi) and a whole new block since stockies suck.
and you know what's really funny, an blower equipped LS1 will pull over 600hp
and whats even funnier is that I drive a B16, but I know better than to use the age old hp/litre trick.
it's all about who crosses the finish line first, it don't matter what you use to do it.

and i'll be willing to bet a 600 hp civic will cross before a 600 hp Mustank! :) Actually, i've seen it :)

thats great man, to each his own. I just find high power import tuning a waste of time and money. If you want power, get more cylinders. It's cheaper and more economical in the long run.
BTW:
You're lucky I havent moved this thread to classifieds since technically you are not allowed to classify in a car forum, much less post across the forums the same thread.
But i'll be nice

i'll be willing to bet it doesnt. rear wheel drive and a nice rear end should solve that. not to mention torque is a lot nicer in a quarter mile then the average consumer hp ratings

Sorry, let me rephrase...."I'VE SEEN IT!" oh, that's better.
I'd rather have a 16,000 dollar civic and mod it than spending 25k on a Mustank. with that 9k in mods, that civic will run a HELL of a lot faster! period!
could never figure how someone will spend twice as much on a car...then say it's SOOOO much better, apples to apples please :)
a guy I know trades his Si for a WRX...I tell him to put the 6k more he spend on the subbie into the civic and he's be whopping Vette ass! go figure...

hahahah, this has turned into a flame war....
Let's put this to rest and say that Hytech does make quality products and everybody has they're right to buy whatever they want and build whatever they want...isn't this why the USA has been in so many wars in the last century and a half? So they(WE)have the freedom to do whatever the fuck we want
Well anyways, Back to asking vince some questions:D ....How much can you hook me up with one of they're turbo manifolds for? t3 turbo flange with a standard HKS wastegate flange
oh yeah, one more thing. Don't you have to do a buy in first before becoming a dealer? Like I said before, you hook me up and I'll get you your dealer pricing;) :D

okay. power to weight and traction issues is why the civic wins. the hytech header is awesome. bseries motors were built for n/a power. i consider honda motors to be strictly n/a motors myself(its what they were built for), and this header makes huge gains for na power. put some pistons, cams and a toda itb kit on and you'll be ready for the touge mountain battle, and wont need a better header. its pricey but money well spent. yeah u could buy a turbo kit, but youd be better off selling ur honda and getting an s13 s/ an sr20 in it if u really want a good turbo car. i had a sw20 but sold it for a dc2 because i prefer n/a power over turbo on the mountain(not a dragracer). but even if u are a dragracer, dollar for dollar, youd be hittin lower times w/ an s13 than a turbobseries w/ the same amount of cash. just my opinion
