5.0 10 hole rims

I have seen the stock 10 hole rims with the center cap polished to a high gloss shine. I have my ideas on how to do this, but was wondering if anyone here had done it, and if so, how.

Maybe a subject for the 'Technical Reference' area ? :)

Is it aluminum?

If so, sand with 240, 320, 500, 1000, and then 1500. Then buff with jewlers rouge. Thats how I did my wheels.

These pics will give you a better idea of the mirror finish.

You wet sand with those grits, then use a buffing wheel with the rouge.

Yeah Skyline, they are cast aluminum and the center caps are kind of a..dull finish... a real 'flat' finish.

Thanks. I really need to clean up the wheels themselves in addition to what I want to do with the caps.

Just remember, you get what you put into it. It takes time do it right.

Thanks. It took almost 3 weeks of sanding and buffing. I am still not done, but it can wait.

ive never seen wheels with spiderman on them...did you buy them like that? or is that just the reflection of him?
