I am going to flush my my engine and replace the coolant, but am having problems with the drain plug. I would like to use disconnecting the lower radiator hose as a last resort. the ploblem that I am having is the drain plug on the radiator. I am sure that I have found it, but am wondering if there is some special trick to getting it off/open. Thanx.

The problem here is that if has been a while since the last time that you drain it, debri might have settled on the inner side and stuck it to the radiator. If you check on your AutoZone or Western Auto on the help section you will see that they sell those cocks. If you break getting it out just go get there a buy a new one. If I where you I would go there and get the replacement first...
