92-96 prelude engine vote

OK, I just bought the aoshima 92-96 prelude and i knew it was curbside, What i am thinking of doing is getting an engine from a different model, and swapping it in.

Should i leave it curbside?

or put an engine in?


Next question is what model should i use. I am thinking about the 1/24 integra GSR diecast. it has an engine, but i wouolld have to fix it and make it detailed. SOOOOO, What model or diecast should i take the engine from?

I would use either the engine from a Revell civic hatch or Revell ITR.

I would leave it curbside.

Revell ITR 1:25th scale has a very nicely detailed VTEC Type R 1.8 B18? 16? sometin like dat.

I would probably use one of the Revell motors since the B and H series engines look a lot alike. (By the way, the though Integra R is supposed to be a B18 while the Civic Si is supposed to be a B16 I think the engines are identical.) Since the engines will be 1:25 and the car 1:24 and since the H series engines are in fact a tad larger in most dimensions (I'm pretty sure) I would split the block, and valve cover at least twice each, and add strips of plastic (trimming them to shape, later) to expand the dimensions of the engine. But that's me. I'm sure you could probably get away with just tossing the motor in there unmodified. I would of course suggest adding an engine, I have become a motor junky since my S2000 and want to add motors to everything. Keep in mind there is a lot to do; building the firewall, the engine bay sides, the battery the radiator, the brake booster... the list goes on. Things you don't think about until you've got the hood cut off, the engine fitted, and are too deep into it to change your mind.

yeah, but he could just slip the ITR, or Civic's engine bay in there, do some trimming and fitting, and puff, it's already been done.

yah, i might take the ITR revell motor, but i will just work on that, once i make all the accesories in there,then i might swap it in. ok ok
