both have the same amount of part on the market as eachother. it depends if you want to buy it brand new or used. id go with the ecotec since its aluminium and weighs atleast 200lbs less then the LD9. and not to say you would probably find a car with less miles that had the ecotec in it anyways.

I think im gonna go with the 2.2 but i heard that on some 2.2 engines turbo isint recommended because, there's something special with the pistons. Has anyone heard of this? Is this True?

Someone posted a similar question and I was telling them to go with a 2.4 ecotech. It has just as much hp as a 2 gen z24, 150, as opposed to 140. You would probally be able to pull more hp with the 2.4 than the 2.2. And about getting turbo and upgrades, either way, you are going to have to replace a majority of parts with stronger parts, especially pistons and headers, to handle the turbo. Personally i would go with the 2.4. As someone else said earlier, it's lighter and probally more durable.

2.4 is not an ecotec, but there will be a 2.4 ecotec in the near future with vvt. And no thats with the new ecotec coming out that you dont wanna boost that high, but the ecotec is built for boost. Go boost the 2.2 eco. It will have more after market features than the 2.4 in the near future.

I've got one more question, where the heck can i find motor parts for a cavalier i've looked on sites like cavalier connection and explioted racing both sites have turbo but im also looking for performance cams, valve springs and rocker arms, and i cant seem to find any of theese parts. I want to be able to run my car hard without worrying of stuff breaking. hondas have lots of parts but i want to stick with a cavalier does anyone know of any sites where i can find theese parts?
