I need to remove the drivers side kick panel on 1999 Taurus to hook up remote starter wires. Where do I start to remove the kickpanel. What tools do I need? I see that the plastic moulding below the bottom of the drivers door doesn't have any screw holes. How do I remove the moulding. I purchased a 1999 taurus repair manual , but it gave no instructions on
how to remove the kick panel.
Please help.

I believe you just yank on it. Then, there will be a metal panel behind that you need to remove. That's held by a lot of 8mm screws. Once you have all of that off and you are going after the ignition wires, you can remove that grey plastic cover that is over them going into the column. It makes it much easier to do the install. That's usually the part that gets hot then melts to the point it burns up your car anyway. :icon16:

I am pretty sure that it is just held on with clips. Be careful doing this when it is cold. The Ford plastic gets very brittle in cold weather.
