In-Progress: Waverider S-10

Here it is everyone; my first AF 'in-progress' model! I actually started this model a while ago, then lost interest in modeling altogether, and now I'm back!!

I figured I'd start out with my (many) mini-truck projects because I haven't seen many here on AF.

Anyways, these pics are just a mock-up to give you an idea of what's going on here. The stance will change. I'm using Pegasus "Chrome T's", and unfortunately I'll have to make quite a few mods to get them to fit right.

I started out with a blue & white two-tone, and had planned on separating the colors with some green flames. Now that I'm essentially starting over I'm thinking of just doing a solid color.

There will be quite a bit (more) shaving going on, and most of the suspension will be scratch-built. I've also toyed with the idea of opening the doors, but right now I'm still undecided.

i love these slamed small trucks i have one myself but it is just a curbside, with the wheels glued to the wheel wells. but it still looks c :sunglasse :sunglasse l.

The kit is made my Monogram (#2438). I don't have the box anymore :banghead:, but the date on the instructions is 1993. I'm pretty sure you can still find 'em online though. I'll have to find a pic so you can see what the model was intended to look like.

Damn! looks 300% better thanthe box art. Keep up the good work.
I agree with making it one solid color though, the two tone like that looks like some of the mini trucks from a couple of years ago. A solid metalic color will look great!

Sorry guys, this has been a really slow going project. I've been spending a lot of time on the frame/suspension lately. I plan on hittin' it hard this weekend & making some progress :smile:
