Might have a new 4th Gen!!

i was at work today and a customer comes in, were talkin and he owns a 91 sedan and i told him i got an 89 hatchback, he tells me he knows someone selling a hatchback for 150 bux. has a wings west kit on it, and he said it has a DOHC Vtec motor but hes not sure how many litres, the guy gave up on it because he said he cant get the right wiring harness for it so i'm thinkin about buyin it, i'm gonna borrow the cash from the parents and part the car out probably and keep the stuff i can use :) so there might be another B series motor for sale on here in a few weeks cuz i'm gonna sell it most likely, i still wanna go D Series but this will help me pay for it, just givin u guys a heads up and to keep an eye on the classifieds, they guys supposed to be coming back into my work to let me know if its still for sale and if it is i'll post back here :D

2 things that I'm thinking.

1) This thing is going to be a total fucking bucket.
2) There's no way there's a DOHC VTEC motor in there, and even if there was, why would you be selling it for a D series!?!?

if its a total piece of shit i dont mind, i mainly want it for the kit cuz i want one and see if it has black interior so i can door panels

and i just think it might be too much of a hassle the the b series motor cuz i dunno if he has the ECU and junk for it or not, i just wanna get the DOHC ZC swap and turbo it cuz it drops in no problem, but if i can get the motor running and it runs very good (i'll hafta test drive it) :lol2: and then i'll most likely be convinced to toss it in my car hehe

No one in thier right mind would sell a running b series for 150 with a car. I bet its a beater with no floor pans and has a DOHC VTEC decal on a d15b1 valve cover. If it infact does have a b series and is in good shape you should feel bad for ripping of the mentaly handicapped

yea well its his fault for selling it so cheap, apparently he got sick of it cuz it wouldnt run and he tried to ghetto wire it. so if i can fix it and make it run then hooray for me
if not then meh, can always sell it to someone with a b-series so they can drop it in

Pay somone to do it! You'll have the cheapest quick platform, and you could still boost it even. You'll be much faster than with a boosted ZC, and you'll have done it for cheaper than if you didn't come across this deal at all.

yea well all lastnight i was having these dreams... about me tossing that engine into my car, and i'm seriously considering it, so what if its the wrong ecu, i can buy one and the harnesses and i'll still have one of the cheapest b-series swaps ever :p

soon as my hb is sold i would have bought my crx for 100 bucks.... 14 second crx for 100 bucks cant beat it, right now its 900 bucks but...
