I just wanted to know if there are some 3rd gen people on this forum that I could talk to to get to know more about my celica.

3rd gen Celica? What do you want to know?

I'm thinking about doing a swap with a 2TZ engine. What I'm told is that the 2TZs are iron blocks, do you know if the 2RZ (tacoma engine) are iron blocks as well?
So far what I can see is that the 22RE and the 2TZ's exhaust and intake manifolds are oppisite of each other, so where the block, as well as the exhaust manifold lay is unobstructed by anything (just don't know if there is enough room) and I need to know how far the intake manifold stretches since that's where the 22RE's exhaust manifold is cuz if it doesn't stretch over too far then there is enough room for the fluids not to be moved.
The problems that I see, other than space or movement of fluids, is that since the exhaust manifold is on the opposite side I will have to make it come out and bend accross to the other side (which doesn't seem to difficult) and the the throttle body will be on the opposite side as well. Do you know how difficult it would be to route a new throttle linkage?
Thanks for the info

Sorry, can't help you. Check toysports notes on the questions you have.
I don't understand why you want to swap for that engine, but good luck!

Thanks I'll check toysport. Well since I want to keep it toyota and wanting another RWD 4cyl engine. Plus I think I'm going to stick with N/A (if I change my mind toyota has a version of the engine that has a super charger) for a long time so I wanted something with the same TQ curve or better (that's why I was looking at the 2RZ tacoma engine) plus the 2TZs lay on its side lowering the it's center of gravity.
