amp problem

Well I have my 200w 2channel roadmaster vr3 2.0 for a while now. I rarely use it. Ive been collecting speakers and I'd like to put a couple to use. There is a power protection light on the amp and green means everything is working and red means something is wrong. I hook it up, light goes green but no sound comes out. Everything is hooked up properly, no damaged speaker wire. So I plug something in the "line out" port on the amp and low and behold, SOUND. But its very little, only what a normal line out will do. I can't seem to figure out why lineout has sound coming out but the place where the speakers do doesn't have sound.

have you checked the gain or filters?

I've set everything according to the manual.

You shouldn't tune your amp by the manual, it doesn't know what you're running or how to set things accordingly. You should have it set to highpass and the cutoff set to ~70-80Hz. The gain should be as low as it goes, then you can slowly start turning it up.

no offense man, but isn't that like a 20 dollar amp?

40 bucks at walmart. I got a good deal on it and I needed something for my 10"
