fuel pump

ok today when i went out to start my car(its was like 4º in ohio) my fuel pump sounded like it was starving it self, and was making a wining sound. its the stock 2g fuel pump, and i was getting ready to replace it. It's only started this today, and does not start making the noise till i get going.

so what do you guys think it is, its it time for a new fuel pump or what?

mine whines too, but it's a 255 and i think it's supposed to. they aren't that expensive if you do need one, and if you are modding your car, you do need one...

a lot of guy's say the 190 is sufficient because you won't need a fuel pressure regulator, but i don't have one and i'm fine.

What does this mean. You dont have an aftermarket pump and youre fine? Thats a matter of opinion unless youre datalogging. I went 12s on the stock pump but I wouldnt recomend that anyone try that at home. Pumps are cheap, motors arent. :)

i don't have a FPR yet. that's all i was saying. and i mean YET. and 97dsm, i was just giving you some more info on the givin situation and what the word is about this topic, i know you already have one.
