i'm in the process of gettin a 94 CC lancer GSR with the 4g93 engine. wat i'm planning to do is an engine swap to a 4g63. my question is will i encounter any major problems with this swap? also has anyone had any problems after doing this swap? does anyone know where i could find a 4g63 in OZ, i've looked at sssautomotive and rolin automotive.

Why not just build up the 4g93?

Its still a strong reliable little engine, and quite capable of making lots of hp, certianly more than enough for a street car.

A 4g63 is only useful if your building a dedicated race car, or want to spend lots of money on going as fast as you can for no other reason than you can.

That said there are a variety of importers in Aus, a read of any of the 4cly car mags should find ads for several, otherwise a search of the web, or help from a Kiwi mate will find you an importer here who will be more than willing to swap Ausie $$ for a 4g63.

i would consider building the 4g93 but it would be a waste of money since the gsr i'm buying has done 200000km on it, thats why i'm considering swapping the engine.
