Since someone around here has been pressuring me into posting this thread....

Soon, after my RX-7 is complete, I will be working on this model:

http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=503/75086b8_1_s.jpg

It will be a Tamiya S2000 with a scratchbuilt fastback. Decals are courtesy of Joecwlaw. I tried to take a picture of them, but it came out terribly. But they look great, and I can't wait to use them. It almost makes me want to put my FD aside and do this... bit I won't. Gotta keep organized here....

Progress thread when progress starts. Just had to set this thread up t keep everyone happy....

Thanks Willimo for the design of the decals. It is not easy to make such accurate logos and the size is just right fight the Tamiya S2000.

this is the decal sheet:

Enjoy.

Did you make the decals for him or did you have them readily available?

Sorry, wrong wording. I meant, did he ask you to make them or did you plan to make them?

The spoon decal is already made and is for sale now. Place your order by sending a PM to me.

It is the same as other water-slide decals. No need to spray any pre-coat.

However, the decal sheet is not pre-cut, you have to cut it around the logos, and dip it into water, and then just put the decal on the desired spot, then apply clear coat finally.

WoW, that's gonna be some great project. Where did you get a picture like this?

To be honest, I found those pictures on Ebay in a listing for Spoon parts. And, I haven't found any pictures of that particular car since. When I do my build up, I will use those as far as I can, and fill in the missing bits with reference photos of other Spoon S2000 racecars. Kind of like how Jurassic Park filled the gaps in dinosaur DNA with frog DNA. Hopefully, though, my model won't eat me. If anyone has any pictures of the car, please please please let me know where to get them or email them to me or something.

The fastback appears to be from the 2003 Super Taikyu season

This site has some info about car, engine, suspension... Hopefully it will help you building it...
Not eqzak one, but spoon too (http://www.aj-racing.com/spoon-sports/s2000.html)

Stop jibberin' and start makin' ; I want to see how this turns out so I know how to do mine, although I might make a road car version.

Building it with the trunk open... WOW! That would be a difficult but rockin' task. Thanks for those pictures! They really solve a bunch of questions I had about the top and trunk. Thanks!!

Looks a lot like the roof section of a Toyota 2000 GT. Great project though!:)
