Another one, well 4 actually

Ok, now im sure as most of you know i have my 300ZX TT running now. And i have been driving it every chance i get.

I figured this was worthy of posting tonight.

I was cruzing up in the Lynn Valley area tonight. Just for the sack of crusing. I pulled into the local pub at the shoping center.

As i get out of my car i notice 4 guys and there cars over next to the food store. I kinda blow it off as nothing cause all i saw was 1 Civic, 1 Integra, a new Tibaron(cant ever spell that right), and Z28.

I go in and see a few guys i know in the pub. Have a quick chat, use the bathroom, and the phone. Then i head back to the car.

I get out the door and i see all 4 of these guys around my car. So i hit the unlock button on my remote and the all get a little startled.:D

So i head over to my car and one of the guys says "so that is a fast car?" I say, "yup". So he asked if id like to race. I kinda shrug it off, i saw "no thanks", then he goes and calls my car a POS and that im affraid to race. To intice me further he says that we can race for 50$(if i beat all 4 of them)

I accept. We line up right infront of the pub on Lynn Vaqlley Rd. First the Civic trys me. This was just stupid. I think all he had on his car was an intakem, exhaust, altezzas, blue headlights, and some crappy 15"rims.

So we line up and i wont even explain how it went down but he was many bus length behind me.

I head back and the next was the Tib. This was more intresting.
He got a nice launch, but still was far behind me.

Next was the Z28. He had his N in the window:) We line up and he just SMOKED em off the launch. He smoked em so much i beat him by a big margin. Im sure if he figured out how to launch he would have been able to keep up better.

Now for the most intresting. The Integra.

It was a yellow Type R, intake, exhaust, header, coilovers. Quite nice really. Well when we got back the all went over to the Integra and were talking. Not sure what they were talking about.

But we line up on the back side of the mall, because we were getting some attention from the pub people when we were on the main road. So we line up and he pops his purge valve. O NO, IM SCARED. LOL.

So we do the three honks. And were off, I launch at 3000rpm and slip the clutch nicly, almost no wheel spin. He launches good as well. Through first he is at my door. By the end of second he is about a bumpers length behind me. Then 3rd hits and i guess he hit his "NOS" and i see some smoke behind me. So i keep this up untill about 150kmh. And i shut down. The teg blasts past me and i head back to the pub.

I roll up and the guy in the teg says he woulda had me, but he had a problem with his nitrous (total BS). So they all get the money and give me my $50. And i start to leave, and one guy yells, "you wish your car was as nice as mine" (from the guy in the civic).

I laugh,peel off and go home.

It seems the 300ZX attracts all kinds of idiots these days. Well all in good fun really.

stupid honda drivers. they talk so much shit yet they can't back it up. ( not all honda owners are like that)

Nope, I have met a few who are very nice guys. The would never bother racig a 300ZX or anything of the sort. They just have no chance.

But i have had many bad experances with Honda owners. But i know there are good ones out there.

Hey i was just wondering how bad are the traction problems on your 300zx?

Well I can brake the tires loose in 4th gear if im really trying. But once you get use to how the car responds, its not to bad.

Lanuching is usualy the biggest problem, but if you dont mind eating the cost of a clutch every 6 months or so then slip it and grip it.

With highly tunes 300ZX's there is some traction problems, that is solved by doing rololing starts, but they still tend to brake loose.

Not yet, but they are both stock body cars. I will have to steal my brother in lawys digital camera and take some pics. Ill post some in the gallery real soon:)

Whenever i lose i laugh and i have a good time. I hate the people who when they get their ass kicked they talk shit. I just want to say i drive a honda... its slow... and automatic... but i love racing winning or losing. So im not stereotype.

Good to hear, Its not the car that makes the man its the man who makes the car. Just cause you drive a Honda dosent make you a ricer. Its not the car, rahter the driver who is ricer.

what do you have in the ZX? How much faster is your ZX compared to your DSM?

The ZX has HKS Racing BOV Type II, HKS EVC V, JWT Dual POP charger, and i run it at 11-12psi.

I couldent really say how much faster it is. I dont have slips for either, but the 300ZX feels much faster.

well thats becasue the Z32 isn't that much heavier then a 2nd gen GSX. plus you get the tq of a 3.0 v6, plus the twin T3's are much bigger then just a standard T25.

lolz i wana do the same 1 day damm rices alway talk and never back it up.. i hate to do that i would rather talk down my car if i had one and then put it on them..lolz
