Thank you for the nice pics. Good job man.
On a side note, is it just me, or are the side view mirrors different on the green and silver cars ? Can anyone speculate as to whether it's because of customer preferences or some other reason?
EDIT:
Actually I noticed several minor differences between the green and silver road cars pictured above; the air intakes in the front, and the turn signals are also slightly different. Erik, Chris, or anyone care to speculate?

It won't be speculation, but I have your answers.
The green car is actually a very early photo/s of XP5 prior to the final design decisions being made. A lot of the photos of the XPs you will find have strange design features not present on the production road cars. Of course you will also see shots of them looking exactly like production road cars as the factory would update each of them later in life to bring the XPs up to full production spec.
The mirrors you see on XP5 in that photo were actually found on some early production cars. They come from the Citroen CX originally, but can also be found on the Lotus Esprit and Jaguar XJ220. Shortly after production began they were replaced by the mirror you see on the silver car which is actually sourced from the Volkswagen Corrado. We've had a few prior discussions of the different mirrors, including the high mounted ones that are sourced from the BMW Z1. If you run a search for "Corrado" or "Citroen" in this forum you should be able to find all of the other threads.

BTW Mini, how good is the info on LCC Rocket in that book. U 4got to post pages 224 225 McLaren to the fore with 068 in a much larger resolution.
Am I right in saying the yellow F1 is 014?
BTW I thought we already saw the pics of the green one in another thread?
Mabey not...

The old school pics of XP5 have been seen before, but they weren't scanned very well - the image quality was quite poor.
The yellow car is more than likely #014.

Much thanks for the info Peloton. I had a feeling the green one might be one of the xp's.
