So I've owned my bronco for a few months now and I like it but I really would love some more power. I thought about a 351 conversion but gas is way too expensive. So the other day my friend let me drive his F-350 and I loved it! that power stroke diesel was soooo cool. Anyway, I was searching around the internet and couldn't really find any thing on such a swap. It seems like it would be a fairly simple swap but I don't know about the transmission or if it would require a ne drive shaft. So is it a possibility? Or am I just wasting my time.

Wasting time. This swap would probably cost $15000 when you were done, and that would buy a lot of gas.

This HAS been done by guys with F150s (which are broncos without the bronco part behind the drivers seat), but since the IH motors use a bigblock bell pattern, you need the tranny too. You CAN get the proper springs to lift the front end enuf to clear the oil pan.
why not just add a few hipo parts to the 302?

The 351 with some added parts would probably give you more horsepower than a powerstroke, but won't have as much torque basically due to the fact that the powerstroke is designed to produce a lot of pulling power and ya its great.

a Built 351 will get you around just fine in that bronco.
