Break Noise

Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with their breaks sceaching . Mine seem to do it first thing in the morning but they do it at other times during the day as well. I have had it into the dealer twice and they say everything looks normal. Any ideas what might be causing it.

Mine squeal once in a while as well. Usually it's the pads. There is no real problem, just that the pad is vibrating and creating a squeal when braking. I wouldn't worry about it, but if you're that concerned about the noise, I think that they sell some kind of rubbery/glue like stuff that you can put on the pads to reduce squeal. That might be your best bet.

Its only got 15000 on it, so I hope the pads aren't gone yet. In fact when I had it into honda they told me there was lots of life left in the rotors and the pads. I just don't know.

Like I said, nothing wrong with pads. If noise really bothers you, just get vibration dampener goo, and place on side of pads that touch the caliper. Other choice is like Type S says, get new pads - just make sure they're not from the dealer.

I think i will try the dampener goo and see how that works out. I will let who ever cares know how it works

Before you do any type of modifications, try this..... drive in reverse up to 10mph and stop, repeat this like 5 times, then drive forward and stop five times at 10mph. What this will do is remove any brake dust that has caked on the rotors in the forward direction. Works for me!
