Standard Tape Deck with CD Changer

I have a 97 audi a4 2.8 with the standard tape deck in it. Can that tape/stereo handle a cd changer hooked up to it. or do i have to replace the whole unit. and if so. what would you reccommend that would fit ok in the console. thanks

like with my car, u could put in a cd changer with no probs.

If you do replace the whole unit would you be interested in selling the original unit? I have a 97 A4 which was burgled recently and they took my Sony Xplode. I'd rather have an original so it is not tempting to the theives.

I'm pretty sure 97s have the plug in the trunk for a changer...just have to make sure you get teh proper model..not sure what that is.
