Killed a Celica!!! (kinda long)

Then the Celica almost killed me. Ok well i have had my 300ZX on the road for about a week now. And she is running great. So tonight i was on my way back home from Deep Cove.

I was on the #1 heading NW towards the ferries. Anyway, I see what looks like to be a 2000+ year black Celica. Found out later it was dark blue. Anyway i was just crusing cause i was somewhat tired.

So im crusing in 5th doing 80kmh(the speed limit). And he rolls up next to me. I inspect his car. He has the crappy looking Altezza tail lights, full bodykit, big aluminum wing(if it were 12" shorter it would of looked OK), BIG crome rims, mirror tint, large exhaust, intake(i think due to the nice sound), GTS bages as well.

So he sticks on my right side for a while and we are just crusing. Now i guess he was trying to get me to race cause now he started to rev on me. So i look at him, and he gives me some sort of hand gesture, i guess meaning lets go. So i give in and drop to 3rd and punch it.I loose traction but still pull on him about half a car. Then shift to 4th and pull 3 cars, then 5th and another car or 2 on him. Then i shut it down at 180kmh. I see him coming up fast in my mirror and he preforms the ricer flybye and cuts into my lane. I had to swerve hard to the right to miss him hitting my car. Now that really pissed me off.

So he flys on bya and i decide to go and scare him a little. I happen to have a few pieces of foam behind the passangers seat. I take them out. These pieces of foam look somewhat like guns:D

So i come racing up next to this guy and roll down my window. Now im on the left of him. I point the foam at him and he slams on the brakes REAL hard. So i slow down. Adn he trys to fly by me again, but i dont let him. I cut infront of him and throw the foam out the window and it hits his car.

Then i just took off and went home.

It was great, he thought i was gunna shoot him and then i threw it at him. He looked SOOOOO pissed after it hit his windsheild and he realized it wasent a gun. I bet he has a majour flat spot on his tires now.

i love that car, i think it runs about a 14 flat.

The Z has HKS EVC V, HKS Racing BOV Type II, JWT Dual POP charger, HKS hard pipe kit. Running 11psi boost. Its a 95 300zx tt 5 speed.

Nice lol, dont know if I would have thrown the foam but sounds like he deseved it. So whats faster your 300zx or your GSX?

The 300ZX is faster than the GSX right now.

The GSX has HKS Racing BOV Type II, and on its way is; HKS EVC V, JIC FLT-A2 Coilovers, new rims, and a few ods and ends. But right now im focusing on the 300zx.

When you say 'break traction' in third, does that mean like the rear stepping out or like a chirp?

Whats stock boost?

I beleave the stock boost is around 8-10psi, and i have had the rear step out once or twice, but it is mainly just a large chirp.

Hoping to upgrade to dual 16G's in the summer, so that chirp will be more of a harsh rubber abrasion noise.

I was doing around 120kmh. Wasent to fast, about 70mph or so (maby a little more). But the roads were still a little damp, that would most likley aid me in braking traction. Was a fun race tho.

I know.. doing a huge smokey burn out is one thing.. chirping 3rd gear at around 70mph is totally a different story.. especially in a near stock car!

Hey, if its raning out i could rost em in 3rd on the highway. But i dont want to die right now.

I hav seen it done in a Vett. Guy had an older vett with nitrious. He nailed the nitrous in the dry on the highway just shy of i guess 100mph and lit em up for what seemed like a mile.

Was very cool to watch.

Ok well here is how i came to have the cars i have.

The 300ZX i got from a family friend for cheap. $5,000 CDN. And ti was a great deal considering it was in perfect shape. Teh 240Z i got for $500 off of a repair station in West Van. It needed new carbs and the owner died so the service station was left with the car. I knew the owner, and he basiclu gave me the car for the price of the work that had been done on it. The GSX i got from a friend of a friend. $10,000 and it ran perfect. Fun car but im thinking of selling it now cuase i just got he S2000. The S2000 i got from my fahter. He just showed up at my house one day with transfer papers and signed it over to me. Im not quite sure y eh did that but that dosent bother me cause he just got a G35 sedan with AWD. So its all good.
