Remote Trunk Button wire

Hey,
One more quick question. I got everything setup on my car for the remote starter/alarm, but I couldn't find the wire that pops the trunk up. I know its a black and white wire, but I'd like to know if it runs down the driver's side, or passenger side. Also where a good location is to hook into in the front of the car. Thanks for all your help guys.
