99 Headlights dont work in "ON"

I have a 99 Burb with 69000 miles. The Headlights just started going off when the Light Switch is turned to the on position. The headlights work in all switch positions except "ON". Brights also do not work. I heard that there is a Circuit Breaker for the headlights and was wondering if this was the issue, and where it might be located. This would be much cheaper than replacing the light switch. Any help appreciated.

Check the fuse and wires going to the headlights.

I checked the wiring and fuses...No problem. After playing with the Bright Lights switch, things started working....Does this switch control a relay, or do I have a bad switch? If anyone has a wiring diagram, that would make troubleshooting easier. Thanks..

most of time is the dimmer switch but do not take my word for it

Does your Sub have "daylight running lamps" (DLR)? If so, the low beams will go thru the DRL relay, but the relay is bypassed with high beams selected. Also the schematics show a circuit breaker in the headlamp switch itself. If you don't have DRL's then it's either the wiring, headlamp switch or dimmer switch. Good luck........Steve

My 99 did the same thing...I pulled on the high beams, then back to low and they came on ? I replaced the relay ( under dash near colum ) because it was around $7 ( daytime running lights ) and have had no problem since.....
