Hey all,
I have a '00 Tahoe LT (new style) and since buying it, the headlights are always on, day or night, when running... it doesn't switch over to just DRLs. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fuse or relay that controls this which may be bad? Or might the light sensor on the dash be bad? Thanks for any help.

Try programming the lights by pressing the dome overhead 4 times in a row you will here a chime.

That didn't change a thing. I've looked at the fuses and relays that are for the DRLs and headlight, but nothing appears wrong there. Is it likely that the photo-sensor on the dash is bad? Or might there be something else that'd cause this?

I assume you have talked to the dealer? I have an 00 and that doesn't happen to me.

I know if that sensor is disconnected your headlamps will be on all the time, same thing probably happens if it goes bad. Should be able to "tap" the dome override button twice to shut them off, if its available on that vehicle it will beep or ding a couple times at you

I have the same problem on a '01. Seems to be an open wire between the body control module and the sensor. The wires at the BCM are white and gray while the wires at the sensor are brown and blue. Problem is, I can't locate where the connection is. My guess is..that's where it's open.
Did you get your problem repaired?
