03-04 4Runner OEM Hood Protector Instructions

New to this forum...Just bought an 04 4runner and i need instructions on installing the OEM Hood Protector...it's for the 03-04 4runner...partpt427-89030...Thanks

I just installed one. There were instructions in the box.
Take off grill.
Take off hood latch release.
Put tape onto hood.
Reattach grill with brackets installed.
Attach outboard brackets.
Attach hood protector.

You really need an offset screwdriver to tighten the screws for the protector. I got mine at Home Depot for $1.99 in the Tool Section.

It took me about 1/2 hr. My dealer quoted $35 to install.

Thanks I was able to install it...however i did not have any tape. What is the tape used for?? is it double sided tape?? Where is it applied??

The clear one sided tape is supposed to protect the paint from the bracket rubbing. It only needs to cover about 1/4" of the front lip of the hood.
