'89 blazer full size 350 questions

i have a few questions, i'm kind of a new driver.
fluids. i have no idea where they go except the ones that say so. i know what the windshield wiper fluid goes and the engine coolant but there are a couple i don't know. i'm assuming they are power brake and power steering fluid but i don't know which is which.
1 is on the driver side near closer to the hood (height) and back in the back, right in front of the driver. it's got a lid on it rather than a cap. i thought this was power steering fluid but it's really dark in color. the resevoir has 2 metal lines running off of it.
the other one is on the engine. my oil cap is on the driver side of the engine and this resevoir is right by the oil cap below the alternator. it says "do not overfill" and "use approved fluid only" on the cap. and since its closer to the engine i'm gonna guess it's not the power steering.
also i dont know how to use the cruise control. mine is on the turn signal lever, not a button on the wheel. there is a selector switch that can go 3 ways. on the left it says "off" middle says "on" and on the right it says "R/A". There is a button on the end of the stick too. i turned cruise control on accidently one time but havent gotten it on since. i've tried starting at off, going about 50 and putting it to "on" then pushing the button on the end of the stick, nothing happens when i let off the pedal.
any help is greatly appreciated.

the one conected to the round thing closer to the back wall under the hood is where brake fluid goes
powersteering tells you where it goes below alternator is powersteering cruise you turn the switch on your stick to the on postion and the get your speed around 30 mph the push the blacke button at the end of the stick

thank you for clearing up which was brake and which was powersteering! i thought for sure the one with the lid was power steering fluid. i still cant figure out that darn cruise control though. it seems to not work, but i turned it on accidently one time. i dunno.

there is a swith you have to turn on on the blinker lever then get up to your desired speed and press the black button if nothoing works then the vacum advance thing on back wall under the hood either is got a hole in it or has came disconected
