Sig Dimension Limit Please?

Hi...I was just looking through posts, and for the past few weeks, i've noticed certain peoples' signatures growing to an absurd size. I run a 1600x1200 resolution, and notice that many signatures are still covering a great portion of my screen. Although i may say that your sigs are very nice, i was wondering if it was possible to tone them done a bit. (This is just my opinion and a request. Maybe others may join me...) i agree, its getting to beyond a joke with some people. i agree with a limit on sig size.
i personaly think the size of hiroboy's sig is nice and unobtrusive.
do we realy need to see pictures of crap?
lets set a pixel size and a date to have changed it by.

I think they should make the sigs just like the avatars. Where you only get a limited amount of space.

I couldn't agree more. I have cable access and for long threads, I have to sit and wait for a dozen huge sigs to load. The problem isn't just dimmensional size, but file size as well. Some folks don't know how to reduce the file size of their sigs.

Personally, I think it should be set that sig images cant be larger than a standard banner (468x60) and 100k, which is actually quite enough for an image that size.

I start a thread avery 6 month about this but nothing move. some ppl use wallpaper as sing but moderator don't do anything to solve the problem

It's simply a lack of repect, but beside me a few other ppl that send pm to others to ask them to size them down, there is nothing that work (they usually just answer with a "eat shit" or "go to hell" pm)

width isnt realy a problem so what about a limit of 200 high by 800 wide?
that way you can fit a lot in but may not make the post too deep? sound fair?

Width can be a problem for people who have their resolution set low. I wouldn't care, but people at 800x600 might, as I know oversize pictures make a thread miserable (though often worth it for fine models!) but to doing that for a sig would just a pain for those people. Just a thought.

i would say about 125 by 500 .. with a 60k limit on size ... the file size is much more important then the overal size of the photo .. even some of the larger ones if they were to be optimized ... would load up real quick.

I've turned off signatures in my profile. Can't say I miss them.

In muy opnion the signatures okay with me...if its to big then oh well...thats there signature...if mine is to big tell me....its 640x125..i think thats an okay size. Signature also helps me see whos who...

I was going to resize it some more a couple days ago but then forgot until i saw my sig in this thread... :p Sorry about that guys.. :)
