foglight wiring question... help!!

ok so i got my self some foglights, yah i know rice rice baby. but here is the thing, i just wired them up quick with the crappy wiring harness that came with them. one of those that hooks up to the battery and you run a switch inside. anyhow enough history on it...

i want to screw all of the harness crapt and do it the "right" way by wiring the fog lights into the headlights so that they are all switchable and such. but i just realised that to do them the right way is impossible on an integra since the low beams stay on when you switch to high beam. know what i'm talking about or is my car messed up. See its not really a problem to me, even though my car looks like abut from what i've heard its illegal to have your foglights on with your high beams. anyhow am i just messed up here and not looking at something correctly, because i went though and tested a bunch of leads and it always swiches that way, its just not low beams and then high beams, its just low beams and them both. this is probably really confusing but thanks for any help you can give me.

Jake

you are gonna have to take the foglights off the leads that run to your low beams, but run an extra switch that you can hit when your highbeams are on, there is also another way that involves doing some cross wiring. this is done by wiring an electirc switch which is triggered by the current to your highbeams. I'm not sure how to do this but the switch thing is the easiest way and by far the best cuz you have the option of running all sets of lights. think backroads racing at night. :2cents:

haha i had to read it over like...5 times. those run-on sentences i tell ya lol. ok
i'm not sure if i'm getting exactly what you mean...but why can't you just wire it to the low beam? then when you turn it on, your fogs will come on too. i think you're wiring them to the high beams...unsplice or unsolder or whatever...and lead them into the lowbeam wire. (i think it's red w/ a white stripe) then it will come on when you turn on the low beams...and the high beams will come on separately when you pull the lever.
is that what you want? hope this helps
