Opel Calibra Custom **PIC**

Here is the last kit I made. Thanks to Tonioseven for this kit :)

It's a UTModel Opel Calibra.
The kit itself is very good, Tamiya quality. but the instruction are the worst I have ever see ! if you are new to modeling, forget this one just becose you praticly need to built it without any instruction. Decals are also low quality, but I didn't used much.

So it's a custom car, no real sponsor. The orriginal car needed white, blue and yellow paint, I didn't want to spend 30$ on paint for a kit that cost me half of this.

So I hope you enjoy this one. Built boxstock, used some custom made decals.

Very nice! I like the color, it accentuates the long curves. The paint is way hot, too, looks glass smooth. The front end looks especially slick, too. Question: did the model come with the reinforcement between the A-pillar and the roll cage, or did you add that? Tamiya needs to include that part, it is an important and omitted detail.

I've got one of those UT Models Calibras, too. They are beautiful kits. Too bad UT didn't make more of them. With the number of licenses UT has, like McLaren, Ferrari, and Audi, they'd have a stellar kit line-up.

I mean, if I could get 1:24th scale kit versions of their Jaguar XJ13 and Holden HSV 427 coupe I'd be a happy dude.

On topic, the car looks amazing in just straight orange. It's great to see it built-up.

Looks great! It's the year 1995 "evolution 1" model of the DTM racing Calibra. The only bigger inaccuracy in the model I see in the B pillar which is in a wrong angle (but that's minor).

Looks good in orange. Just adding Jägermeister- or Sport Bild-logos would make the car maybe even nicer? (those sponsors have been using orange).

(now I want to have that kit to myself even more... :D)
