my light comes on whenever i have to brake hard. but then it goes right off. try adding some oil if it needs it. if not, try taking it to the dealership to see if something is wrong with the wiring.

Pull the EFI fuse, leave it out for 30 seconds. put the fuse back in. thhis should reset the PCM (ECU). the light should be off. if it isn't there might be a problem with the sensor or PCM. If thats the case take it back to the dealership and tell them to get there heads out of there ASSES!...LOL

there could be lots of reasons why the light is on..

make sure you dont add too much oil...the v6 tacoma only needs 5.5 quarts...the 4 cylinder needs 5..i think..i have a v6....

you can go to the dealer and have them run a scan on the check engine light....if its under warranty they should do it for free,.....

dont let the Stealer tell you that light is fine...it might be a bad O2 sensor or your knock sensor is bad...etc..

have the dealer use his scan tool to find out what the code is
