leaving the honda scene

Im so sick of the high schoool kids in civics with nothing more than altezzas and washer nozzle lights revving on me, trying to act hard and talking shit, the people making shitty parts and gouging labor prices to take advantage of people they think dont know what theyre talking about, not being able to have nice shit, cause someone wants to steal it..
My 99 Si was stolen on dec. 30th, and was found later, with a blown motor, missing about half the interior, wheels, engine parts, and a fucked suspension.
I am now purchasing a 2001 VW GTI 1.8t, with no plans for modification whatsoever, save maybe a computer chip and intake.

still love the hondas, just not the bullshit and stigma that comes with them

yea well speaking as a high schooler i kno exactly wut your talking bout i am known as guru at my high school.... i have seniors blowin up my phone askin wut engine they have and much hp they have and how to make it louder............ so i feel u on that it really makes me sick... and ask kicker... i dont even have a car or even old enough to drive and i kno more shit then some of these shit heads that run around in their loud civics wit vtech and apexe m1 exhaust

Im tempted to do the same. All I wanted was to have a decent looking civic and go places without being reved on by every fuking honda I see. And of course do they ever rev on you when nobody else is in their car? Nope! Gotta show off for the high school girlies inside. Its really getting annoying. I dont race to often because really theres no point and only thing you can really look forward to is a ticket and fucked record. Really I do like hondas but they attract the attention im not interested in.

lol...way ahead of you guys. after the civic was totalled (dumb 16 yr old bitch in her civic t-boned my ass) I was like my choices are going to have to be 98-00 Impreza RS or Sentra SE-R, possibly a Spec V. Ended up getting a Sentra 2.5 LE, going to pick a Spec V in about 2-3 years and after that, I may get back into Hondas. Seeing as how home is where the heart is, and Hondas are really my home.

yea i feel u 2.... why buy a damn si for 14k w/56k miles here in indiana when i can get a Se-r spec v for 11k w/ 28k miles it might not get as much glory but i know the se-r is faster....

plus being a sedan it's more practical, there really isn't any back seat room, but I hate carrying passengers anyhow. I just use it to carry around misc. shit since the trunk will be full of speakers in about 2-3 weeks.

actually, the quad 4's are AWESOME engines as far as performance goes... but they break relatively easy. they were designed very well and should have been nearly bullet proof, but GM cheaped them out when they were put into production and ended up with quite a few blown engines out of the deal

and I believe the olds 442/calais or however you spell it with the 5 speed was the fastest of them...

lol, you really wanna know. Sticker was 19,999. Last 03 2.5LE sitting on the lot right. Got it for $13K out the door with 62 miles. The last 12 miles from my dad and I test driving it. So I got a hell of a deal. Only thing is that the LE's only come in auto :mad: but the car more than satisfies me. Hell of a lot faster and torquier than the civic was. 165HP and 175ft/lb of torque. Can't launch the sucker though, the factory Bridgestone Potenza RE92's suck nuts.

It's supposed to be the more economical family version of the SE-R's, it has the same 2.5 liter motor and everything, just not the interior, rims and factory "body kit". That's the reason they only offer it with an auto tranny. The SE-R's have a 5spd manual or auto option and the SE-R Spec V's only come with the 6spd manual. I love it though, this thing is complete sleeper. I love watching people's faces as my little family vehicle pulls right past them. I'll be getting a Spec V in a few years, this car has really put an impression on me and I wanna see what I can make one do.

Speaking of civics and highschoolers...ya' know..I get revved on more when I'm driving my 02' sedan than all my friends combined when they're driving their racecars...I mean come on now...it's an 02' sedan...what's beating a 127hp car going to prove?

Ive got a 93 Civic EX ( black, with black rims) I made the mistake of getting altezzas ( I know I know) I now want the SI style lights but anyhow my car only has the stock D16 in it so even if I wanted I know theres no point in even trying. I mean I blame the movie FNF for my cities troubles. Live in TN and before that damn movie , never saw as many altezzas and metal spoilers before. Anyhow I too am getting sick of the reving...but ahh well what else to do....

That's why I leave my car looking stock, and leave the 8k redline monster tach in it so people think ha what a fag, all that crap for a D16... and move to the next car to steal shit.

Cause I kno that is fuckin VTEC and that the company is Apexi which originated in japan and that the exhaust one of there exhaust systems is a N1, angle projected muffler with as few bends as possible.... I think the best V8 cars are the Hursts' but Wait wut about the fastest production v6 the buick 3.8 turbo.... In order for honda to compete these days they should bring back the crxs or del sols and do wut they did with the b series engines.... make K18s but some si's that are turboed and under 20k...

They are bringing back the CRX, 1900lbs with a 150hp dohc vtec engine.
If you knew anything about Honda's background you'd know they most likely never will make a factory boosted car. Honda engines are meant to make a lot out of a little while maintaining high reliability. Now how reliable does a turbocharged dohc vtec engine sound compared to n/a with bumped compression?

I guess to keep this on topic, having to spend tons of money to make a car (Honda) go fast, I think it would be more logical to buy a fast car off the showroom floor, and still keep the warranty.

i'm just praying for the day that they stick that turbo V8 that they built in some sort of vehicle.

I am thinking about getting either a new jetta with a 1.8t or a newer si like 99-00. then i drove an si and fell in love with it so now i really want one, but i hear they get stolen all the time. Why is that because of the bad ass motor? what can you do to prevent a car from getting stolen?

update: bought the reflex silver 01 GTI, and i will most likely be disregarding my previous comments about nod modding it. but im loving it, and i had my first kill the other day. it was a 2000 V6 accord coupe with dual fartcans. the fit and finish of the interior is tons better than my civic had. and to think i was considering a silverado

Hate to burst youre bubble there but honda is not making a new crx. The article on www.crxsi.com is totally bogous. Hondas wanted to make a new crx since 1992 when they dscontinued it. Check out the 88-91 forum about this. The topic has come around more than once. Plus there is another article with a picture of a crx that is a photoshoped insight with rims. Until its on hondas home page, i doubt its going to happen!
