If its a manual with low miles, I'll buy it. I need a drifter. :P

Turbo = Fulltime Power
Nitrous = Power At The Push Of The Button Or Rpm Trigger

They Both Work But For The Money I'd Get A Turbo Because After A Few Fill-ups Of Nitrous You'd Surpass The Value Of The Turbo Kit.

i think the turbo would be a better choice, like musicsurfman said after having to refill the nitro multiple times the cost of the turbo would be passed.

well turbo and nitros fall under forc induction so they arent really diferent in that aspcet..i would go turbo b\c their is always room for improvement and also it will always be there for you. nos is good but it more hi risk..

1500 you can get a electric superchager and it isnt what you are think. it is capitors that run two 13 hp electric motors that build 22 psi of boost. i cant remember the website but my brother owns a business and sells them i will talk to him....as far as turbo vs nitro' i would go turbo...little more expensive but it is worth it for full time power, plus 35 bucks a tank gets expensive real quick

If you want power for daily driving all the time and you can afford to do it right, a turbo.

If you're building on a budget, nitrous is the best thing you can buy. It's probably the safest way to add a considerable amount of power, it's definately the cheapest and easiest. ANY motor can benefit from nitrous, from a stock engine to a highly boosted turbo engine and anything in between. Actually now that I think about it, if you can "afford to do it right" for the turbo option, you should be buying a nitrous kit to go with the turbo anyways. :p

See signature :biggrin:

P.S. there's a reason NO serious racers use those "electric superchargers".

The thing with nitrous is it can ruin your engine. If you are a serious racer and use nitrous, you'll have to tune your engine with it, so that you don't mess it up. So it'll cost more than your 650$ wet kit, get me?

All in all, I say save up 5 grand, get a SR20det swap with a turbo already on, then with the leftover(if there is any) get a dry kit or wet kit, and then tune the motor. Tuning helps even if you don't have a turbo. Keeping the ECU straight is a very easy way to keep your HP running.

Or am I talking out my ass here?

Nitrous gets a bad rap cuz it's EASY to add 100-150 hp without tuning, or adding any more fuel, if you don't know what you're doing, and it will usually blow up if you do that. Try just bolting on a turbo and adding 100 hp without tuning it and you'll get the same results. If you do it right, and use it right, it's no more dangerous than adding the same amount of power through any other means. It's probably safer because it's only "on" when you're racing, whereas a turbo will be boosting and wearing your engine all the time.
