Hello everyone,

I have joined the Audi Drivers of America.

Its a 2000 A4 2.8 Quattro - sports suspension package/cold weather. 49K miles on the odometer. Black with black leather interior, wood trim, bose stereo above and beyone what I was looking for.

My last car/suv died unexpectedly (needed a new engine), I had been looking around for an all wheel drive car (for the denver snow) and finally took one out for a test drive.

My first impression...wow! I have never driven a car that has been so precise in its road handling! What a joy to drive! I purchased the 2 year warranty on the car..just in case..

which turned out to be a good call, because my display panel fades away when it gets warm. (dealer will replace --$500 instrument cluster) Anyone having this trouble?

I have only owned it about 2 weeks, and I know I'm still going through the honeymoon, but it is a wonderful sedan.

Quite fast, Quiet ride, comfortable with beautiful lines.

Now my question to all...with the 205/55 zr16, what would you recommend as an all season tire? --right now its running the summer set, quite slick in the snow (test drove it in the snow!)

and which radar detector do you recommend. I have heard great comments on the Valentine1.

For tires in the snow, go with Blizzaks. They are a snow tire, so the handling isn't that good on dry, but they rally up the canyons here at least. I feel as safe in my audi as I do in the Land Rover on super slick roads. The quattro is great and the tires make it better.
Good luck!

Nokian snow tires would be my choice, great tire.
