well im lookin for a car.
well some info about me im a college student that is broke a has just enoug for small mods, im know a good bit about car. i know rx-7 are known for overheating and blown seals. also they are easy to over rev and they do burn oil a little. so maintainence is a big issue but im ok with that.
what my main question is how fast can i make a turbo 2 rx-7? i know it is a single turbo 13b, my goal will be to do 11's in a daily driven streetable car. is it possible with the turbo2? if so what mods do i have to do?
i was thinking about a 3' turbo back exhasut, intake, 255lb fuel pump, fmic, intercooler pipings, b.o.v., 650cc injectors and a boost controller and a s-afc to tune all of it..for now
later will be a bridge port and a upgrader turbo with new exhasut mainfold and external wastegate..
thanks for the help

its deffinately possible. I was just looking at a page that gave info on all the different ports today, can't seem to find it now though, oh well. bridge port is as big a port as yu'd wanna go or else you wouldn't wanna daily drive it and the engine life would be really short.

with a bridgeport and a bunch of mods I think you'll be plenty happy with it. the TII is a good car, maintanence is key as you said. but I don't know about the over reving part... where did you hear this strange idea? as far as the rx-7 goes, drive it like you stole it, rev it all the way up. just keep up on maintenance and yes oil burns faster but not a lot faster, not as much as most people seem to think. now they do run hot, but I'm no sure sure abotu the over heating issue, as long as you aren't sitting in heavy traffic on a hot day with the AC on you should ever over heat as long as everything under the hood is working. just don't turn on your AC in slow moving traffic or in town when your stop and go. other than that it shouldn't over heat. I imagine your replacing the seals and all that since your porting and looking for 11's. so you shouldn't have to worry about that much either I'd say... just take care of her and she'll take care of you :)

A bridgeport wont be necessary for an 11 Sec run.

well I didn't mean that it was mandatory to get 11's. Just offering an option. What is your idea though?
