98 contour problems with idling

My contour died on me while going down the road the other day. And i took it to get a computer on it it said the camshaft position sensor, i changed that. I started the car up and it runs rough idling like it wants to die. I took it for a drive and it only accelerates when i press the gas slow but it still jerks bad. Soon as i come down to a idle it will idle for a minute or so then die on me. I changed the fuel filter and that wasnt a problem neither. Anyone have any ideas?

If....
1. More than about 50-60K miles, and
2. Gets worse when it is wet out

Try spark plug wires.

I have similar problem except:
1. Run just fine as soon as pedal is pushed off idle.
2. Stall occasionally at idle

My code reader said O2 sensors. I wil change and get back to you.

i havnt figured out what was with mine yet, but i have like 130k on it, i assume i should change the plugs and see if its that. O2 sensor can cause it to idle rough?

If you haven't changed your plugs and plug wires in the entire 130K miles, then I would say that is a good place to start.

When I put a Code reader on my car I got 6 codes,

1. Said O2 sensor had "slow response"
2. Catalyst efficiency below specification
3. O2 sensor inicates lean
4. Random/Multiple misfires
5. Fuel trim system lean bank 1
6. Fuel trim system lean bank 2

I am going to try the following in the following order:
1. Injector cleaner for the next few tanks
and
2. 2 new O2 sensors
then
3. New catalytic (but ths is like $300 for a stainless one from www.batinc.net).
