Few years ago i read a bulliton from Standard Ignition regarding Mopar's and there FWD computors, PRE- OBD2, it seems these have the circutary for the anti-theft in them even if the vehicle wasn't fully equipped with the rest of it, just the ignition kill, is in the computor, well these computors sometimes just for the hell of it like to say "oh lookie! i've got a ignition disable, i think i'll activate it" and no start it does, so Standard Ignition takes the computor and litterly cuts the anti theft part off the circutboard,
I have no idea how to check for this problem or what cars/vans are affected, i do know that it was mostly the front wheel drive ones.
This is not a addvert for Standard Ignition or any other person place or thing, just trying to help.

All of my FWD Mopars are pre-OBD2 and have the anti-theft, I've never had problems starting the cars.
Interesting.
Interesting.
