snow chains on a lowered ride?

Hello All,
Can someone tell me if its ok to still use my snow chains in snowy conditions on a lowered Civic...I went down about an inch plus in the front and I am running 205-50 15's. Will I be cool, or should I just rent a 4x4?

Thanks for the info!

Go rent the 4x4 . . .snow chains are fine if they don't hit anything.

Question don't mean to interupte your forum. But even if the car has after market wheels and tires chains would be a way to go if that is the only vechile you have?? I have been think to do chains but i didn't know if they would work with aftermarket wheels. Thanks

unless the roads by you are covered in snow 24/7 don't do chains... just get studded snow tires.

Plus some tire companies don't recommend using chains on their tires. I would check first.
