Welding cracks in a Header

I just bought a DC header from someone and his friend noticed some cracks in the header so he welded them. When i looked inside the piping there was like the bubbles of metal inside and i was wondering if it will give like a big loss in HP and/or Torque from this. Those metal bubbles are only in like 2 of the pipings and one small bubble in the down pipe. You think it will still give like a significant amount of more HP & Torque than a stock header??? I still bought it from him because he seemed like a nice guy and if it doesnt really work out he can hook me up with other things and i could try p/u a Neuspeed header from another guy. Thanx guys for the help!

if it is only just a little, you wont noticably feel a difference, unless you have serious motor work done to it. if you are concerned about it just take out the dremel tool and grind it down a little
good luck

oh yeah, ever header i put on i did not notice a difference in performance at all, of course i have always done the header first so on a stock engine it might not of made a difference but when you start doing intakes, full exhuasts then it might be noticeable. it should be good for around 5hp or so
good luck

so it will still do better than stock tho right? So if i file it down then it should be all good right? Wont make it weak at that part or anything? I got an f22 motor so i doubt ill feel any difference then since modding this engine is so limited.

Yea it should be better then stock, DC sports makes some of the best headers IMO. It will be fine if you grind down the weld as long as that guy welded it correctly, chances are if he welded it he knew what he was doing so I say go a head and smooth it out.

How does a header made from the manufacture crack? If they make it and it cracks then most likely any expert who welds it, it will still crack since if i shave it there is less metal.... know what i mean?
