I just bought 1994 S-10 Blazer with 4.3 Vortec, Have not yet done any work to it and need some input.

When truck is started either cold or hot it has a miss, and also bogs down at low rpm for a second when starting from a dead stop, also when hot and I press the accelerator to about 1500 rpm it will fluctuate up and down about 300 rpm, when i press the gas more this problem goes away, could anyone help me with what parts I should replace first.

Any Help is greatly appreciated.

Thanx

Don't just start replacing parts...I you have money to waste...just send the currency to me...

For, input if it bogs down...and misses...it could be the fuel pressure regulator or the CPI unit, poppets...have you tried running the GM Injector cleaner in the gas...it works like Seafoam but is stronger...and costs about $21. bottle...

This is total out there, but I've heard that if its push button system, the Transfer case control module could be the cause, what happens is the transfer case module tells the computer that the truck is in 4low when its not, the computer will not allow high revs. Not sure if its true, but thought I would mention it.

It is not a push button 4+4 it has lever on floor.

I took the plugs out and they looked preety bad, but have not still replaced them, should replacing plugs, wires, cap and rotor take care of this issue. The fuel pump is new but filter has also not been changed, could that be issue?

Also now the ABS light comes on after I start going, but if I turn truck off light goes off until I Start going again, and one time the pedal went to floor.

Does anyone know if there is a way to retrieve ABS codes and where to get the meaning of codes.

Thanx for input

Mine did that pedal to the floor thing once before, I posted it on another forum and someone says theres a factory recall on that issue. Haven't had the problem since,

Ok just wanted to post what the solved the issues I posted about, the rpm variation was being caused by a faulty EGR valve opening to 100% at 1500 rpm and causing enginr to sputter, the brake issue was a bad Master Cylinder, both were replaced and truck runs like new.

Just wanted to post this so anyone else having these issues will take a look at the EGR Valve, and Master Cylinder.

Thank You to everyone for their input.
