greatly appreciate any help, but does anyone know what kinds of services you can do to your engine to get better performance and reliability? as in money dont matter? like i heard of
a) porting = better air flow?
b) boring = more displacement?
c) valve job = i dont know
d) stroker kit = i dont know either
e) heat treatment = i dont know
so does anyone know any more things to do or mind explaining a-e for me?
again please and it would be greatly appreciated...
newbie ben.

I have no life so ill answer!
A: porting-you are correct! you do get better airflow (more airflow) by having larger openings but this usually isnt nessicary on a honda. Polishing is differnet though-it takes off all the casting marks and rough edges, which would get you some nice results
B:Boring-Once again you are correct-when you bore out your block/sleeves it creates a larger diameter for each cylinder and gives you more displacement. Boring is also used to recondition cylinder walls on high mileage motors.
C:Valve Job-There are a few different types- I. Larger valves-more airflow II-3/5 angle valve job-this is where precisely angled cuts are made into the valve so when the fuel/air mix goes in, it stirs it up and creates a more volitile mixture, which = more hp
D:Stroker Kit-More displacement by making a longer stroke. THis tends to give you more torque. But when you stroke an engine (typically) you lower your engine's rpm tolerance (i didnt want to say redline becuase to some people thats different)
E:Heat Treatment-WEll im not too sure about this one...someone else will have to help you there.

wow this sucks, I coulda swore I just took 10 minutes and explained all of that stuff out too... but anyway I guess I accidentally deleted it when I tried to edit it.
Anyway since PunkAlex laid everything out pretty good, I'll help him out on the heat treatment.
As far as I know heat treatment is where you have your block placed in a pressurized room and frozen at absolute zero for a few days. This increases the strength of the block like 500x normal strength.
Some other things you could do to increase the reliability/life of your engine and increase hp would be to get forged pistons, rods, and crank.
