Funny thing happened to me today...

I was driving my Lancer (yes, the one that got nailed by the deer) when i get pulled over by a cop. I've left the engine running- the cop walks up, and my engine starts to steam, which is nothing new to me- it's been doing it for a month now. (my radiator cap is loose which allows water/antifreeze to steam out of the radiator)

anyway, the cop notices the heavy steaming coming from my turbo vent and asks "why I'm not the slightest bit worried"

My reply- word for word-


"because, Officer- it assures me that there's still liquid in my radiator to boil"

DVS, you get the valium, tangie, you get the straightjacket....

officer was impressed with my wit. actually, I got pulled over for having a license plate light out, so this was just a verbal warning type deal.

Had Drivers license in glovebox (Instead of on person) verbal warning

had Cigerettes in my car (with underage freinds) written warning. (cop thought cigerettes were my friends, and I was claiming them to protect my freinds)

License plate light out- written warning

Taking 40 degree turn to fast (45 mph, clear weather) verbal warning.

Pretty shitty. How can you stand some much bull from the police?

*lol* All those "citations" sound like they're from a local police municipality near me... :rolleyes: I swear they study the minutia of the DLM inorder to make more $$$ for donuts!

Atleast this cop was pretty levelheaded about the whole ordeal...

If you think the police are tough talk to an NZ trucker about the comercial vehicle unit(a.k.a. the god squad)I got a $200 spot fine because the certificate on my trailer was water-damaged!

I take that shit because It always turns out minor and I don't entirely trust our police...Our last chief was arrested for sexual harrassment and is currently on the other side of the bars. :)

occasionally, I do flare up, and that is one of my favorite facts to point out. seems to work, most of the time. :rolleyes:
